Thanks to everyone who made suggestions regarding !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Ultimately I decided on a piece of equipment that would solve the streaming issue and replace the aging PS3 that we used solely for bluray:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
My movies look even better with this player (Wonder Woman, Super 8 both greatly improved). It’s a Sony, and we’ll almost certainly replace the Pioneer Kuro plasma with a Sony OLED, QLED, get the LED out ... whatever. We’ve always had great luck with Sony products - the home theater system we have is 9 years old and still going strong (although the DVD player stopped working last year).
Finally: if anyone wants my PS3 (purchased 2010?) you can have it for whatever you think it’s worth if you pay the shipping. It’s got one aftermarket controller, and I can dig up a power cord. I also recall that someone here wanted my last TIVO, but it worked when I sent it to them. This one is a Roamio I Plus - the fan was noisy right before it stopped working. If anyone wants it to fix or for parts, it’s yours for the cost of shipping. I want to say it’s between 4 and 5 years old. Contact me at: steve.reiness@gmail.com - first to get to me “wins.”

Gib! Nah, sending it over the Atlantic is probably not worth it.
I fixed my broken ps3 by putting it in the oven :)

OK - email me w/ what you think it’s worth and a mailing address - it’ll take me a while to find a box. steve.reiness@gmail.com ... and I make no guarantees.

OK - if you sent it, send it again. I may have deleted, because I just love to trash things ...
